Review & Giveaway ~ Food Controversies CD Set

I had the privilege to review Food Controversies which is a seven cd set offered by Vision Forum. The seven cds cover: Gluten Intolerance, Green Medicine, Dietary Supplements and Drugs, Adrenal Exhaustion, Detoxification, Every Body is Unique: How to Combat Nutritional Deficiencies, Yellow Fat and Lyme Disease. The speakers that share on the CDs are Gary Powers, Dr Todd Frisch and Dr Michael Bernui. The CDs range in time from 45 minutes to an hour each. The set retails for $30.00.

For me, this was a set I couldn’t do other things while listening to – I had to stop and actually listen. There is A LOT of good information shared!

The first CD talks about gluten intolerance and celiac. They address many of the common questions of someone with gluten intolerance. “The more simple the food, the better it is for us.”

The third CD is about adrenal exhaustion which totally hits at home for me. So many good things discussed including working with your doctor, reducing stress, getting more sleep, eating right, etc. One thing that really stuck out to me was him saying their family turns off all technology at 6pm. Why? Because things like reading your email right before bed do not help you sleep.

Seems a lot of the things tie in to how we eat and how we handle stress. Imagine that, right? *grin* 85% of all diseases are caused by stress…

This is a  VERY INFORMATIVE set that I would recommend to others who want to know about all the things I mentioned in the first paragraph. The information is given in a very understandable way and is very deep information…this is NOT just “surface stuff.” Personally, I LOVE this kind of information about things that I don’t have a way of really finding out without a lot of research. This comes from a reliable source which is very important when talking about controversial things.
