God, Where Are You?

One thing I realize in life is that everyone is going through something. Let me repeat that…

EVERYONE IS GOING THROUGH SOMETHING

Another thing is a lot of us are going through struggles that have lasted A LONG TIMEMANY MANY YEARS.

We get tired.

We get worn down.

We wonder…

GOD, WHERE ARE YOU???

I know I seem to find myself here each time there is no job offer for hubby. I am there again now…

Out of the blue hubby gets a call about a position he submitted for back in March…that hasn’t happened in the over SEVEN YEARS we have been looking for a job. So, of course, we assume it is the Lord’s hand working.

Ends up…again…no job offer.

The frustration is exhausting.

The lack of understanding is draining.

I do believe the Lord has His best in mind for us…but when you are traveling a LONG ROAD of what appears to be quietness – with no answers and no direction. It just wears you down.

Will we ever see an end to this? Is is too much to ask for a full-time position that allows our family to make enough money that we would actually be above the poverty level? That really doesn’t seem to be asking too much to me. And yet…

…there is no job…

…there are no answers…

…there is no direction…

There is only the question…

GOD, WHERE ARE YOU???

I am tired. I am frustrated. I am sad. I am angry.

Will I stay here? No. I will “throw my temper tantrum” and then move on believing, hoping and praying the the Lord will EVENTUALLY provide us with some relief.

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

I have felt this way, too! He IS there, He IS at work…but times when it’s so dark it’s hard to see. You’re in my prayers.

It is so hard when we’re in the valleys. I’m praying for peace.

I love this song I learned at Koinonia, God on the Mountain. This is the chorus:
“For the God on the mountain, is the God in the valley.
When things go wrong, He’ll make them right.
And the God of the good times
is still God in the bad times.
The God of the day is still God in the night.’

Praying for you friend. I have had so many of those bad valley times while dealing with my ex and custody. Even now that he has custody I am still dealing with his junk and it is getting so old, so discouraging. And I do ask the same question”God where are you?”
