Getting the next school year planned? Yea, I think most of us are. Need help? Me too! The BEST planners I have ever found are the ones from The Old Schoolhouse Magazine. I have used them every year we’ve homeschooled, except for the first.
The Old Schoolhouse Magazine offers FIVE different planners.
The BIG one that I call “Mom’s Planner” (TOS calls it the “Schoolhouse Planner“). This thing is 800-pages!!! If there is something you are looking for and you don’t find it in here, I will be VERY surprised!
This planner sells as a customizable ebook for $39.00.
High School. This 401-page planner is for those in High School and has all the usual items: calendars, schedules, tasks, lists, etc. Then it has articles specifically geared toward the High School grades focusing on science, starting a business and basic “life skills”. Additionally it has information on hours tracking, credits, transcripts, college planning and MUCH more.
This planner sells as a customizable ebook for $29.00.
Intermediate. This 345-page planner is designed for the middle school years and has all the usual items: calendars, schedules, tasks, lists, etc. Then it has articles specifically geared toward the Middle School grades focusing on writing, science, math and geography. Additionally it has information about grammar rules, spelling rules, the periodic table and MUCH more!
This planner sells as a customizable ebook for $19.00.
Primary. This 278-page planner has all the usual items: calendars, schedules, tasks, lists, etc. Then it has articles specifically geared toward the Elementary grades focusing on math, games, geography. Then it has handy reminders of necessary “training items” for these grades like: grammar rules for writing, money chart, prime numbers chart and information on the planets (and MANY more).
This planner sells as a customizable ebook for $9.95.
Special Learners. This 178-page planner has a TON of helpful information. I actually have never looked at it before but now that I am, I am VERY IMPRESSED! Not only does it have the normal homeschool school related items (calendars, weekly schedules and assignments) but it has articles specifically for homeschoolers of special needs children…but EVEN BETTER – it has medical forms, lists, charts as well as task analysis pages and life skills charts. This looks to be an AWESOME resource for a homeschooling family with special needs! This planner sells as a customizable ebook for $29.00.
Something else I should share ~ the Schoolhouse Planners are FREE for SchoolhouseTeachers.com subscribers. ST.com is $3 for the first month, $12.95 per month thereafter. You gain access to the Planners immediately upon joining ST.com. If you haven’t heard about SchoolhouseTeachers.com you can check out my review. (This is an AMAZING resource for families!)

Now the super fun part…I get to give away ONE of what I like to call “Mom’s Planner”…The Old Schoolhouse Magazine calls it the “Schoolhouse Planner”. The winner will get BOTH the Schoolhouse Planner AND *their choice* of ONE of the other planners. Entries close at 6pm CST on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. To enter simply leave a comment on this post saying which other planner you would want if you win – make sure to leave your email address so I can contact you. I will pick a winner on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. That person will be emailed and have 48 hours to respond otherwise a new winner will be drawn.
Or, if you don’t want to wait, you can go HERE to order a planner now.
Have a wonderfully blessed day!

This is a great, great, great idea!!! We will start looking at basic supplies now because they will actually be cheaper than waiting to the week of or a few weeks after school starts.

I love the way planners help keep me on track. Since I’ve graduated my boys and now only have my high school daughter at home, I would obviously have to go with the high school planner. Thanks for offering this, Dawn!
