Fourth of July Fireworks

First let me share that we live in a pretty small town…there are about 5,000 of us. Apparently this past Sunday was our parade and fireworks. Want to know how we found out it was our parade…you will NEVER guess…they set off the tornado sirens. Yes, yes they did. That to me was extremely shocking and VERY inappropriate. (I have a call in to the person I need to speak with about this as I sent my boys down to the basement and they were a bit freaked out – as kids get.)

Anyway, we got over that little moment and once the sun went down…we heard fireworks! Fortunately we live just outside of town to where we can watch them from our yard each year. (Apparently we need to do a better job of reading our local paper…as this is how we would find out about local happenings such as this).

Well, I tried to take some pictures of the amazing fireworks but my camera was too slow so I got a lot of blank / black screens and two actual fireworks pictures. LOL However, my oldest son was able to get two pretty good pictures on his camera.

Later today we will be heading over to my husband’s brothers house for a get together they have every year. Normally lots of fun for everyone (but especially the kids).
