Review & Giveaway ~ Growing with Grammar

Photobucket

I have heard many people talk about using and loving Growing with Grammar so I had to find out for myself. Let me say…WE LOVE IT! My son has struggled with grammar since we started homeschooling four years ago. He had always gotten A’s and B’s in public school so needless to say I was a bit shocked to find out he didn’t know what a noun or a verb was…he was in 7th Grade at the time. SCARY! Well, we had almost two years of “de-schooling” (he seriously would ask if he could go to the bathroom when we first started homeschooling). During the last 3+ years we have tried MANY different things trying to help him grasp just the basics of grammar. With no avail – until now!

He has really blossomed with this program and I am SO VERY THANKFUL! And we like it so much I am going to buy the next set for him to use as well. I think the reason he is doing so good with it is because there is repetition of what he has previously learned – something he desperately needed. Additionally, I think he does well with this because it is simple and quick. It doesn’t take an extended amount for him to figure out what is being discussed. I also have to say that planning assignments and grading has been very easy for me as well (always a plus!).

A complete set includes Student Manual, Student Workbook, Workbook Answer Key, and Student Tests. (SM, SW and AK shown below.)

You can view sample pages of each item and level they have available by going to their website HERE.

Now…you are not going to believe what I have to giveaway. Seriously. IT.IS.AWESOME! I have one set of one set of Growing With Grammar, one set of Winning With Writing, and one set of Soaring with Spelling.  There will be three winners, one set each. Each winner can choose the level! AWESOME RIGHT??? Enter one, two or all three giveaways below!

One of the main things I love is consistent for all 3 products. I love that they are set up for the student to work independently. Having three different grades to cover in our home, it really helps to have some things they can do without me!

I was just looking at this program for my 4th grader. Yay! I’m so glad you like it! One of my favorite, (admittedly least important) things is that they are spiral bound ON TOP. That is a huge deal to a lefty!

By the time the student has completed
level 8 of the series, he has had
    comprehensive exposure to many different
types of writing and should be a well-
organized writer with the confidence to
tackle any writing project…..GREAT that they help the kids be an ORGANIZED WRITER!!!!!!!

I like how one level is for a year, so you don’t have to buy it too often.

I love JacKris Publishing! We currently use Growing with Grammar for our 3 children, and would love to continue with that, as well as add the writing and spelling. Grammar is fun now!

My 7th grade son likes to read but, hates to write (unless it’s in comic book form lol). I’ve been looking for something that he can really have fun with while expanding his writing capabilities. I HOPE I WIN!

This looks like something that will work well for my girls! I’ve struggled with Language arts all along with them and it’s been so frustrating. It looks like this is short, sweet and to the point. Just what we need!

I have been interested in GWG level 2 for some time now. Many of the homeschooling moms I know recommend it. I think it’d be a great fit for my son. It seems to be brief and to the point. Love the built-in review. I am looking forward to starting our grammar learning with this curriculum. Thank you for offering it 🙂

Hi again, I am also interested in Winning with Writing Level 2 for the same reasons explained above: brief, to the point, not to much writing to overwhelm a young boy and built-in review. Looking forward to using Winning with Writing !!
