I had the opportunity to review Every Body Matters which is a wonderful book discussing how our bodies and our souls work together to become one. We cannot ignore our bodies and expect our minds and souls to be okay, just as we cannot ignore our minds and expect our bodies to be okay. The two go hand in hand. He brings a lot of scripture references before the reader (which I loved!) and never makes you feel inferior. He shares his struggles in these areas throughout the book as well (it’s always nice to know the person writing has actual experience with what they are writing about, right?).

This book came into my life at just the perfect time! I recently participated in the Kick-Start Fitness team and was doing Management Monday and have just been overall thinking about how the body and the soul work together – and about how we show Christ to others (either good or bad) by how we care for (or don’t care for) our bodies. Scripture does say: “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” 1 Corinthians 6:19

I really enjoyed reading this book and the insight brought by looking at Scripture along with real life examples. This book helps to remind the reader that we need to work on ALL of ourselves if we are to help be a good, complete example for Christ.

Have a wonderfully blessed day!
