I had the opportunity to review The Family Illustrated Bible (which was previously published as The Children’s Bible) and let me tell you – it is a VERY IMPRESSIVE book! Not only is it’s size impressive (8-1/2 x 11) but the way the pages are illustrated is really fun to look at! The beginning has neat pictures and information on the Books of the Bible, Covenants, and Lands of the Bible. It then goes into stories of the Old Testament then the New Testament. It closes with information on The Church and Rome, People of the Old Testament, People of the New Testament and an Index. Periodically throughout the book you will also find “real-life pictures” of part of whatever story is being covered (like The City of David).

Here is a sample of what the inside looks like:

This, for us, will be a keepsake and something we look at, read and refer to regularly for a very long time. I think this is one of the best books I’ve seen in some time with regards to sharing  the Scriptures with the kids – WE REALLY LIKE IT! Would I recommend it to others? Absolutely!

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

Disclosure: I received a copy of this book from New Leaf Press in exchange for my honest review. No compensation was received. All opinions are my own.
