We had the opportunity to review Purposeful Planning which is an ebook designed to help encourage families to take time to plan, preferably yearly. They suggest this be a family time (take the kids and make it fun for them too!).

Things suggested to discuss:

  • Husband/wife relationship
  • House
  • Family
  • Children
  • Home Education
  • Summer School
  • Evenings/Discretionary Time
  • Church
  • Finances
  • Vacations
  • Celebrations

They suggest planning on talking about things for a total of 16 – 20 hours. Here is a little something from the book:

We are not writing about our planning times simply to sell books, but
to help you grasp a concept that will prompt you to have a new
lifestyle, a new way of life: a life that involves looking to the Lord first
for His plans for your family, then setting in motion the steps to make
His plans come true. (taken straight from the book, page 23)

If you are the planning type (which I am not)…this would be a wonderful resource for you and your family. I may have to show this to my dh…he is definitely the planning type and would probably love this! (We’ll see.) Regardless, it has some wonderful thoughts that everyone can use to work on having more of a plan for their time (the Lord’s time).

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this ebook free from the author. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
