I had the opportunity to reveiw Deeper Into The Word New Testament:  Reflections on 100 Words from the New Testament and I found it to be an unusually useful resource and learning tool for many of the common words from the Bible.  The way this book is written is very unusual for a “Bible Study tool” in the fact that (1) it is very easy to read and understand [this works for me!!!] and (2) it gives an OVERALL view of the words.  By that I mean it gives a general definition of the word, it gives a Biblical definition, it gives other scripture references and most of the time it gives the Greek meaning too.  It really is a wonderful read when wanting to find out more about these particular words.

I also found the words covered in this book to be unusual…they are not all the “typical study words” – they are common every day words used within the Bible that we need to know more about.  Some examples are: Break / Broken, Free / Freedom, New, Religion / Religious, Seek and Yoke.  Something else really neat is the Greek Index in the back – as well as a Contents page in the beginning so you can easily go to whichever word you desire.

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book for free from Bethany House Publishers. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
