TOS Crew Review ~ Wits & Wagers Family Game

PhotobucketFamily game offered by North Star Games.  Recommended for ages 8+ with 3 – 10 players.
Retail price: $19.99

This game is quick and fun for just about every member of the family.  Our ds2 enjoyed using the erasable markers on the game boards while the rest of us played.  🙂

This game involves, one at a time, someone reading the question card and everyone guessing what they think the answer is and puts it on their game board.  There are also two “point pieces” (called “Meeples”)…one (smaller piece) is worth one point and the other (larger piece) is worth two points.  Once all the guesses are done and shown, each player then puts their point pieces where they want them.  [An answer that is OVER the correct answer is ZERO points, so if you think someone elses answer is better than what you guessed, you can put one or both of your point pieces on other peoples boards.]  Once the answer is given (read by the same person as the question – by flipping over the card) the answer closest WITHOUT GOING OVER is the winner.  The “owner” of that card gets one point and then the “point pieces” are counted for each player…for what was put on the winning card.  The winner of the game is the one who gets to the end of the “tally card” first.

The questions cover things like sports, science, media/entertainment, math, cooking, etc. – basically something for everyone!  The answers also include a little tidbit about whatever the question pertained to, like: the tidbit for the question “In hours and minutes, what is the longest someone has continuously spun a basketball on their finger?” is “Joseph Odhiambo holds this record along with other wacky basketball records.”

Overall rating for this product: 5

This game is a lot of fun for the entire family and is reasonably priced.
